This is the collection of things I have bought over the school summer holidays I will separate the reviews/haul into when/where I bought them.
I travelled abroad so of course the favourite part to me (apart from the sun) was duty free shopping obviously!
We travelled from Newcastle airport where I stocked up on some of my Benefit must haves, I picked up a set called Double the Real which is a set of two They’re Reals for £28 ish which is great as they retail for £19.50 each. I also picked up a POREfessional set which had a full size POREfessional and a mini It’s potent and a mini That Gal for £21.50 (I think) which was also a bargain as the POREfessional retails at £23.50 on its own. Thats all I bought on the way there as I wanted to pick up more on the way home.
On the way back I picked up some back-ups of my favourite products, first I picked up Chanel Soliel Tan De Chanel bronzer which I love and is so long lasting I bought my first one last summer and use it every day and I have only just it pan on it which is fantastic so although it is definitely more on the expensive side it lasts so long. I also picked up another Mac Studio Fix Fluid which I have a full review on if you want to check that out.
I also picked up so new products. I bought the YSL Kiss and Blush in Shade number 5 which is so gorgeous on the cheeks, I have never really liked cream/liquid blushers before but I love this one because it blends in really easy and looks very natural on the skin and will be going to pick up more colours soon.
I picked up two new products from Mac the first is the lipstick in Crosswires which I love, the colour is so perfect for summer and a lovely finish which isn’t glossy but not matte either it’s one of Mac’s cremesheen finishes which I think looks lovely on the lips. I also picked up Mac Fix+ which I use mainly to intensify eyeshadows by spraying a bit onto my brush before I apply the eyeshadow which intensifies colour and shimmer in the eyeshadow.
Trip to Boots
Last week I went into boots to pick up L’Oreal True Match Foundation that I like to use for school as I always end up sleeping in and this foundation blends in super quick leaving a flawless finish to the skin but of course there was an offer on so I had to get a new lipgloss too. I’m not a fan of lipgloss because my hair always gets stuck in it and leaves my hair full of lipgloss! but this lipgloss is different it’s a matte lipgloss so more like a liquid lipstick and has a gorgeous finish that lasts all day I bought the shade Cherry Crop which is a lovely red-pink shade.
I also picked up some of the new Maybelline Baby Lips Electro range which I bought all colours that were left I managed to get three in the shades Strike a Rose, Pink Shock and Berry Bomb I love baby lips but it would be great if we got more over here as there has been a lot more realised in America than here.
I had two trips to Debenhams in the holidays, the first time I went for the Benefit They’re Real Push Up Liner, which is so fantastic it does take a while to get used to applying as it is such an unusual applicator but once you get used to it it’s fantastic as it features a accu-flex tip for application super close to the lashes. I have a full review on another post.
I then returned last week to pick up a sample of the YSL Fusion Ink Foundation which I returned to purchase the next day as it’s so fantastic and gorgeous on the skin there is a full review below.
I went shopping in Glasgow on Saturday and picked up a few make-up things (no surprise there!)
The first thing I picked up was the Illamasqua Brow Gel which I love and is a staple in my everyday make-up routine, while I was there I was admiring the new Glamore Nude Lipsticks and the first one I noticed was the shade Cherub which the lady applied on me and I loved it straight away although I do have many colours similar, she recommended I also try the shade Minx which I was unsure of as it looked very brown in the bullet but after she had finished applying the lipstick it looked gorgeous so I decided to buy Minx as I don’t own anything like it at all and I will purchase Cherub another day.
After this I went to Boots to pick up some more Real Techniques Brushes as they are on buy one get one half price just now so I picked up the Starter Set and the Duo Fibre Collection which I had been waiting to buy for a while but I was waiting for an offer to come up and I love them and I’m so glad I have now finished my Real Techniques collection, only until Nics Pics come out though.
I then had a trip to mac to pick up a refill eyeshadow of All That Glitters as mines has almost ran out already as I wear it almost every day. There was a few more things I wanted to pick up but I decided to wait until the Mac Marge collection comes out and I will pick up a few more things then.
I received a gift in the post today from my auntie of a few Benefit products that she had bought and not liked the mascara is unused though in this gift was Hoola Bronzer, Coralista Blusher and BADGal Lash Mascara which is great for lower lashes I haven’t had a chance to use these products yet but there will be a full review up soon.
Anything that there is not currently a full review on there will be one up soon.
